Today I celebrate 4 years sober.
This picture was taken when I entered treatment in Seattle, I stayed sober for over 2 years from around here ( I spent the first few months huffing in treatment). This was a person who saw no other conclusion to my life than dope or suicide.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate my community. I couldn’t have done this alone.
Thank you @noahlevine 108 for showing me in 2010 that junkie, atheist, punks like me can and do stay sober. You have been a consistent inspiration in my recovery.
Thank you @rebelsaintsmeditationsociety for providing dharma that is so accessible and creating a supportive space for people to recover. I have spent many years in different recovery atmospheres and never felt one quite as supportive and caring.
Thank you to the Seattle refuge sangha for supporting me in my recovery.
We do recover.
Happy to have the opportunity to assist @noahlevine 108 at the Malibu retreat this week!
