Oh hello there Insta, it’s been a while!
Can’t believe I haven’t even finished posting pictures from Last New Year’s trip.
Lots of land was covered and many places where visited as part of this multi-stop, hop-scotch kind of trip. The previous post shows it all started in the Netherlands and this one is about the next stop. Good Ol’ #Vilnius ! Capital of the little yet charming #Lithuania . It all started with an awesome #NonRev trip with #AirBaltic . As a result of this trip I had a chance not only to fly onboard a fantastic and sharp looking #735 but also to meet #BT ’s finest #CabinCrew . Professionalism, great service and friendliness were present on this short hop from #AMS . Vilnius itself is a relatively small city, for American standards that is, yet its got quite a personality and charm. While the mercury recorded sub-zero temperatures, the ice was broken by warm and welcoming smiles from the locals. As if that wasn’t enough, the local food is something that I still crave. It may have been lacking the spice 🌶 that, as a #Mexican , don’t seem to be able to live without but it surely made up for it in flavor and looks. #Europeans sure know how to get creative with potatoes, sour cream, and meat. Moreover, Lithuanians don’t mess around when it comes to alcohol. Their local #Booze is some kind of honey-based #moonshine with alcohol concentrations as high as 70%. I do remember the night some strangers I befriended at a bar bought me a few shots and will never be able to forget the headache that followed the morning after.
The food and booze, while highly appreciated, are not the only thing Vilnius has to offer. The #AutonomousRepublic of #U župio found within city limits and just across the meandering river that bisects the city offers a handful of mural and sights to be seen.
