Smokey and sultry 🌬 foilayage and toned with @guytang_mydentity. Quick tip: If you want ash tones and not brass tones, understand your hair will need to be lifted to a pale blonde (inside of a banana) before we can tone to ash. It WILL fade with every wash so typically, you can expect the ash tone to last anywhere from 4-6 weeks, however if you are a daily washer and aren’t supplementing with purple shampoo and also a color protecting shampoo, it will most likely fade much quicker. Easy fix though! Toners can be done every 6-8 weeks or whenever you feel faded and brassy. 💁🏼♀️#houstonhairstylist#shampusalon#foilayage#ashybalayage@behindthechair_com#behindthechair#btconeshot19_coolbalayage ...

Finally got to play with the new VB series by @redken !
Who can guess the formula I used?
Man that vb is STRONG 💪🏼 I love it!!
The people have spoken!! The formula I used wassss 🥁🥁🥁
5na for the root shadow, then 9v and 8vb with clear let that process for a couple min then overlayed .5oz 8c with 2oz clear!! I almost always use some kind of warmth for my blondes so it doesn’t go too dull or dark!! Plus it was lookin a litttle too blue while processing so I needed some copper to neutralize that! ...
Notice how cooler tones are more dim💡 This is because cool tones don’t reflect light like warm tones do, they create a little more of a matte finish vs bright and reflective. This babe loves the ash tones🚬 and I’ll admit it’s been a journey getting her there with her own natural color as the base from basically black. But she rocks it so well! This color is actually going on 3 months... just a fresh gloss in between touch ups is key especially for maintaining cool tones👌🏼 ...
